OUR
STORY

YEAR OF FOUNDATION

Bisiach & Carrù was established in 1956 by the founders Luciano Bisiach and Oreste Carrù. From the beginning, it started its production by supplying manual welding devices for the automotive industry (Alfa Romeo, Ferrari…) and in the white goods field.

FOUR AXIS ROBOT

In 1975 the Company grew and became a leader as designer and builder of automatic welding systems; after a long period of development, Bisiach & Carrù developed its 4 axis cartesian robot.

SIX AXES ROBOT

In 1980 Bruno Bisiach and Jolanda Carrù started the second generation. In those years the first 6-axes robot, specifically designed for welding, was introduced in the automation market with a pay-load of 80 kg (Jolly 80). It was completely electro-mechanically operated.

TAURO SYSTEM

A gantry robotized system named TAURO SYSTEM (Universal RObotized Automatic Transfer) was invented in 1985. It was characterized by 250 kg carrying capacity, a revolutionary automatic tool changing equipment and up to 100 m working area.

ABB KALMAR TRAINS

The first order by the swedish ABB KalmarTrains (today Bombardier) for a machine application in the railway field: 60 mt/198 ft, 300 kgs/660lb. carrying capacity, program of 27.000 spots

BOEING 787

The aeronautic field keeps giving great opportunities, commissioning to Bisiach & Carrù the construction of some huge machines, able to drill and rivet the Boeing 787 one piece barrel. The robot was able to drill and rivet stack-up of carbon fiber and titanium together.

ARIANE SIX & VEGA C ROCKET

Bisiach & Carrù expands its know-how by exploring the aerospace field, building a massive seven axes machine, able to assemble the engine and ignitor of the Ariane 6 and Vega C rockets. This was a great challenge, due to the dimensions and weight of the parts to be manipulated and the centesimal tolerances required.

NEW GENERATION

The third generation of Bisiach & Carrù starts with Paolo Bisiach, graduated in Mechatronic Engineering and focused in new technical solutions.

AEROSPACE AND SPACE

Bisiach & Carrù aims at expanding its influence in the aerospace and space worldwide market, willing to challenge any futuristic project, keeping an eye to the eco-sustainability.
